Teresa Ayers began her first term as a member of Carmel City Council after winning a caucus in January 2023 to fill the vacancy for the Central District.

Teresa believes in putting the residents of the Central District first and advocates for responsible growth and conservative fiscal policy to maintain low taxes.

Teresa grew up in Carmel and is one of 8 children. She attended Carmel High School and is a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church.

Teresa has always been involved in her community. She is currently the Vice Chairman of the Hamilton County Republican Party and on the board of the Carmel Clay Republican Club.
