I see Carmel city crews all over the city paving streets. When is my street going to be paved?

During the summer, we certainly do see a lot of street paving taking place across the City. Our Street Department works hard to keep our local streets in good shape.

More than 80 streets are scheduled for an upgrade this year and the Street Department has a budget of $5.2 million to get the job done. Some of the work began as early as April and continues throughout the warm summer months. This year’s budget for street paving includes a $1 million Community Crossings grant from the Indiana Department of Transportation, which will allow the City to repave seven of its busiest parkways and thoroughfares.
