Why are dogs not allowed at the Farmers Market? Dogs don’t seem to be a problem at events in Fishers.
We love our furry friends and family members. As you may know, Carmel has been recognized as having some of the best dog-friendly places in central Indiana. And we do more than just love our dogs, we actually celebrate them with an official event – Art of the Dog, which debuted last year and is set to go again this fall.
But when it comes to crowded events such as the Carmel Farmers Market, Gazebo concerts and the Carmel Christkindlmarkt, we feel we have to limit the possibilities that people – and their dogs – can be harmed in certain situations.
We love our furry friends and we want to make sure they are always healthy, happy and safe. That is not possible with so many feet, sounds, sights and smells, not to mention the hot, humid summer weather – or the frigid cold weather during the holidays.
Of course, bonafide service animals are always welcome.
